Xbox Live Maintenance Schedule - October 17
Plan ahead now. Xbox Live and Xbox.com will be undergoing a bit of maintenance on October 17th that’s set to last up to 24 hours. You’ve been warned so don’t cry to the heavens when you wake up and are unable to get on Xbox Live or Xbox.com. And for those of you who like to speculate, this is NOT a dashboard update.

This update must be something big, maybe it won’t become apparent until we see the dashboard update, but it must be something other than maintenance.

haha well i spoke with Erin just last night and she assured me it was on “queue”. i’m playing the waiting game along with ya. i did have to remove i think two of your questions after saying i got them all in.

I was hoping that it was the fall update. I want the 1080p patch and a music player patch (man i want to fast forward a song).

No real withdrawal symptoms for me- their usual outage window (where it’s less than 24 hours) is the only time that I can play usually anyway.
Hope that they improve some performance since the introduction of the Vision Camera… custom gamerpics can be slow to load. Also want more features on the forums: ability for custom favorite forums, improved search, link to posts on gamercard so I can link those random FR to thir moronic comments before I reject them.

Have you tried going back to the original Xbox and play some single player games? It feels so weird now, like you are cut-off from the rest of the world.
Speaking of the original Xbox and living in the darnkess…..
Fry’s has the Logitech Xbox headsets going for $20, now. For that price, I had to pick it up to go with my Logitech 360 controller! I should have done that a long time ago to bring an end to the ongoing conflict between me, my controller cable, and my pets. You’ll be seeing me playing some “Halo 2″ and other original Xbox titles on Live this weekend!

i play on the original Xbox all the time lol..never stopped..i’m STILL trying to finish Ninja Gaiden lol
that’s a sweet deal on the Logitech headset though.
