I’m sure some of you have stumbled upon a few mentions of this award that had my name floating around with it. There was an initial post about it from a visitor here, Shonuff, and then a subsequent post from Thrills Killa on The Xbox Domain…and ofcourse one other mention by a good friend of mine, Mosler, on the Xbox.com message boards.
I was awarded the Microsoft MVP Award 2007 in the Xbox category.

I didn’t have a chance to initially be the one to share this with the community as internet searches and such are a bit faster than I am. But I did plan to be the first to tell everyone about being awarded with such an honor. I believe this award speaks more about the community a person is involved in than it does the individual and so I wanted to be sure I shared it with everyone. It is, afterall, the response, the feedback, the nominations etc of you all that made my MVP selection possible.
A few would have this swept under the rug as if it was no big deal but to me, it is a big deal. It goes well beyond simply managing communities, responding to message board posts etc…it is representing an entire collective of people who share, for the most part, one thing in common. And I plan to represent you all as best as I can.
So I wanted to again say thanks to the community…to Microsoft and all the great people I’ve had the chance to get to know there…and to everyone involved in making my selection possible.
What is the Microsoft MVP award?
The Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award is an annual award that is given to outstanding members of Microsoft’s peer-to-peer communities, and is based on the past year’s contributions those members make in those communities online and offline.
Also, I’d like to congratulate the others who received the Microsoft MVP Award 2007.
