ZERO - Precision Xbox 360 Controller
There’s a new sheriff coming to town…and his name is ZERO, a new line of premium controllers for the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC developed by Nyko. Zero promises to raise the bar when it comes to 3rd party controllers. It makes its debut next month touting superior engineering, precision and design. Check out the teaser site at Nyko.

“The industry is on the cusp of the next evolutionary step in gaming, and serious gamers demand a higher level of sophistication and control,” said Chris Arbogast, marketing manager at Nyko Technologies. “With the ‘Zero’ line, we strove to exceed those standards by designing a high-end product that provides players with the highest quality components to ensure accurate response and durability.”
After using Nyko’s Multi-Reader 360, I’m pretty confident in what they’ll deliver.

A USB hub is a lot less complicated than a controller, the prospect of better and not worse 3rd party accessories is interesting.

ill reserve judgement until i get my hands on one and try it out. But right now im pretty happy with my MS made controller.

well i’m interested to see what it looks like. i’ve never really been a fan of Mad Catz, so i’m hoping for an improvement over those.

man the mad catz controller S for the original xbox was rubbish. Talk about loose analog sticks.
My experience with 3rd party peripherals hasn’t been the greatest but I’m willing to give this a go.

i’ll see if i can get a review for you guys on how it is.

i didnt jump on the 1st party controller train until this generation. Last time MAD CATZ was kool for my naive gaming style. This gen Im hardcore, last gen I wasnt.

It could be good, but the fact that it can’t be wireless means I wont be buying.
October 8th, 2006 at 3:32 pm
I’m with your bruinfan05, no wireless means no purchase for me. I’m leary of any 3rd party and Nyko is no different aren’t they the same people who made the Intercooler attachment that fried many a 360?
October 8th, 2006 at 3:42 pm
lol the intercooler fried your 360? ouch.

Look at this thread about how this guy’s intercooler literally”fried” his intercooler and his 360.

I thought the Intercooler was great at first since it cooled the system down a little bit, but I was worried what it would do to the my 360 overall. Well, luckily when I was installing my Vision cam, I pulled off the intercooler for a second and noticed ‘burned’ marks on one of the plug connections. ……the intercooler has found a nice place in my closet to collect dust.

i never even considered getting it. i’m glad i didn’t need to as it just seemed like a useless thing.

Yeah NYKO makes the intercooler, It crispy-fried my XBOX too. Luckily NYKO Is going to be replacing my 360 with a brand new premium system and since I missed 2 months of my gold subscription(1 month i have two accounts) they are sending me the wireless controller. SInce I dont want to risk the second gen. intercooler damaging the new 360, they are sending me their “Intelligent Remote” the one that controls the tv and the 360. If you have damage from the first gen. intercooler (the one with the toggle switch on the back) contact nyko @ 1-888-444-6956 and they are more than willing to replace your 360…..apparently they are scared of getting sued or somthing.
