Ready for another Xbox 360 dashboard update? Well starting tomorrow, all Xbox 360 owners will be able to download this free system update to improve and add new features. John Porcaro at Gamerscoreblog just released the fine details of this highly anticipated system update. If you’ll recall, this is the update to enable 1080p support for the Xbox 360.
New Features
Check out some new screens of Eragon from VU Games. I’ve been waiting for the movie for quite a bit and I hope the game can hold me until the movie releases.
In the game, players will live the legend as Eragon, and with his mighty dragon Saphira ride into epic battle against an evil king’s sinister forces. Players will be able to share the adventure with a friend with two player co-op featuring team attack bonuses and dragon fight/flight combo gameplay.

Happy October 29, 2006! Everyone say Happy Birthday DeaconBlade! Before I start my personal celebration today, I thought I’d give you all a small birthday present as well. I’ve enabled audio comments on the site…now how cool is that. So for those of you who love the show, site, material etc…you can now voice your comments in addition to or instead of writing them. You MUST have Java enabled in order to leave an audio comment.

It’s late. I thought I’d share some history and remind you all to switch your clocks back tonight. That’s right…it’s Daylight Savings Time at which time we ‘Fall Back’ one hour at 2AM on Sunday October 29.

What else is significant about this day? Well it’s my BIRTHDAY! Go Deacon, it’s ya birthday…we gone party like it’s ya birthday! Yes, that’s right. My birthday is October 29th so I’ll get another hour of sleep to get ready to be older.
And I just had a thought…there’s this game called Splinter Cell: Double Agent that would be a really nice birthday gift for a person who had a birthday on October 29 wouldn’t it? (hint, hint lol)
Well, enjoy the extra hour ladies and gents! That’s one more hour of Xbox Live tonight before you have to go to bed.

They’re out there…in full force waiting to help new Xbox Live members and existing members alike have a better experience with Xbox Live. How do I know? Well, because I’m one of them. I’m an Xbox Ambassador along with hundreds of gamers that you probably didn’t know.
I mentioned the program in Episode #18 as well as other episodes but I thought I’d reintroduce everyone to the program by writing this piece. Everyone’s favorite Zuma player, TriXie, started the program several months ago with the first free weekend for Xbox Live Gold. It was started to give new users a friendly voice and a good introduction to the service.
What is an Xbox Ambassador?
Xbox Ambassadors are community members who have been around the block and are willing to show the new guys around. An Xbox Ambassador puts ’having a good experience with Xbox Live’ at the top of their ‘to-do’ list and they share/introduce those experiences to other members of Xbox Live.
Here are some more goodies from the Fifa 07 Community Day I attended last week. Thanks to Electronic Arts for capturing these photos for the crew. If you look closely, you’ll see yours truly right at the top right diggin’ the two giant screens. (yes those are the giant screens I played on)

Remember these? If you are the owner of an Xbox 360, then you should know the Xbox 360 Laws like the back of your hand. The Xbox 360 Laws were started back in July after watching a commercial of the famed ‘Man Laws’ from Miller Lite. I figured that if beer drinkers could get together to make their experience better, then hey why can’t Xbox 360 owners do the same. So they were born…the Xbox 360 Laws to bring peace to the land and honor to the way every Xbox 360 owner treats his or her console. (while ofcourse providing a bit of humor in the process)

As if anyone needed any more confirmation that this game is on its way…today Microsoft Game Studios and Epic Games announced that this highly anticipated Xbox 360 exclusive has gone Gold. Get ready for Emergence Day! Gears of War will be on store shelves November 12th and the battle to become Xbox Live’s #1 title will begin. Will it overcome Halo 2?
The regular edition of Gears of War will be $59.99 and the collector’s edition comes in at $69.99.
