Midweek Marketplace
Take a seat and relax for this Midweek Marketplace during which I’ll give you a rundown of things you may have missed so far this week.
Scramble was due to release in the Xbox Live Arcade but was instead delayed until next Wednesday, Sept 13 and replaced with a pretty cool deck of Uno cards themed out with Project Gotham Racing 3.
A variety of trailers hit including Gears of War and The Godfather as well as themes for Dead Rising and Samurai Warriors 2 each of the themes will cost you 150 Microsoft Points.
There was also some NBC video content released. I’m not sure how many of you were eagerly awaiting that but it’s there nonetheless.
I also wanted to update everyone on changes made to the Xbox Live Vision Camera FAQ. I added a Q&A about ways to identify users with the Vision Camera.

Somebody should inquire as to why there are no Saints Row gamerpicts and themes out yet.

yeah what’s up with that…i’d like some Saint’s Row gamerpics beyond having to get them from an OXM

It was funny, I got a call from MonsterB0x yesterday asking if I knew what was coming to the Marketplace today. Assuming he was talking about Live! Arcade I told him that I didn’t think any new games would be showing up (I just had a feeling that Scramble would be delayed) and viola today we get a custom deck for Uno. Do you detect a note of sarcasm in my post? I own Uno and I downloaded the 35th Anniversary deck but I don’t really understand why anyone would want theme decks for Uno. Isn’t Uno just fine as it is? It isn’t like you can really change the game play that much. Well anyway I guess at 100 points you really can’t complain and Microsoft never said that every Wednesday a new title would come out. MonsterB0x is just eager as he is in a competition with a couple of other guys to get to 30000 gamerscore first. He’s got Saints Row so if you see him online give him a shout and wish him good luck on the GS. He’s only had his XBOX 360 for about 3 months now so you can see from his stats that he’s been a busy guy.
See ya,

P.S. The next Zone is almost done and ready for your listening pleasure and don’t worry the music won’t be early 80′s pop

how is he liking the 360 so far Ghost?

LOL…maybe I should actually look at my OXM discs?
Keep the 80′s music coming Ghost! Don’t mind tha haters.

Yep, the OXM and stand-alone demos discs for Saints Row had the gamerpics and themes, but I wasn’t a fan of them. I wish each game had at least one gamerpic with just the name or symbol of the game as the pic. I would like one for Saints Row.

Digging it most completely. So far I’ve been most impressed with Dead Rising and Saints Row. Prey was extremely entertaining in Single Player, but for some reason faded quickly once I beat the campaign. I’m not even really sure why. I’ve also been eating up the downloaded content. My kids are crazy for Cloning Clyde and my mom is even in on the Frogger and Pac-Man action. And yeah, 18665GS in three months, max Gamerscore in 15 retail games and 2 arcade titles (2 of the retail games being among the most time consuming of the entire library). I think it’s safe to say I’ve found my console of choice.

… did you know the obscure ’80s move that tune came from? “CAN YOU HEAR ME MOLES!”

Deacon, you should do a Showcase on MonsterB0x. He is very cool and an all around great guy. He’s played just about every console and PC game. He was one of the leading influences of why I got involved with XBOX and now XBOX 360. I’m certain he’d make a great interview.
