Are you still fuming over EA obtaining the exclusive NFL license to market/produce and essentially own all of pro football in a video game sense?  Well it hasn’t stopped Midway from the pigskin arena.  So if you were a die hard 2K fan and still want an alternative to Madden, then Blitz: The League may be just what Bill Romanowski ordered this Fall on Xbox 360.

Blitz: The League Trailer

Take your team online and dominate your opponents using new offensive and defensive evasion moves, or try and defeat the three new division All–Star teams stacked with the best talent on the field. I heard 2k was making a football game without liscensing as well. but they are saying that you can download rosters so if someone made an NFL roster we could get it http://www.2ksports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90124

that’s not true. 2K isn’t doing it. it was some PR attempt to get support i think.

I checked out Blitz The League when it came out on PS2. It was a good concept but I didn’t like the controls. The loading time between Menus took a while to load. Might be different on the 360 but if your a football fan I would stick with Madden.

I wouldn’t call this a football game, more like football-based entertainment. Not so different than what the WWE is to the sport of wrestling.
