XBLA: Texas Hold ‘Em Free
Well sort of…as U360 mentioned yesterday, Texas Hold ‘Em will indeed be free but only within the first 48 hours of hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace. That’s right. After the 48 hour period has expired, those who miss out can expect to shell out the full 800 MS Points for it.

It will hit Live Arcade on Wednesday, August 23rd at 0800 GMT (1:00 AM PST) and only be free until Friday, August 25th at that same time. Don’t say you weren’t warned.
Read the full announcement details here.
Other Arcade releases noted in the annoucement:
- Time Pilot – Wednesday, August 30 – 400 points
- Scramble – Wednesday, September 6 – 400 points

…or you could say it is free (for 2 days) BECAUSE they were called out on their promise.
All a matter of how you choose to spin it or how much MS owns you.
