Good show as always. Let’s be honest, sometimes girls are better to play with, I know last night they were. Playing UNO, my first game I say “anyone talking?”, some guy replies “stfu, no one wants to talk to your B**** A***”, the next game I say the same thing and some nice girl replies “oh, thank god someone’s talking”

    RamRod330 Says:

That’s funny “Feelz Good” b/c I say that all the time….”Thank God, someone who talks!” haha

Deacon – thanks for having me on the show! I had a great time chatting with you and I’m sure you are feeling the repercussions of moving this weekend (just a wee bit sore).

I also wanted to say great job to Meesa and CasketLady! Both were great! I haven’t had the pleasure of playing UNO with CL yet, but I did get to game some with Meesa last night and we had a great time!

grifter – I see your point – but what you aren’t seeing is ours. It’s not about how great we are or our gaming ability. All we have done was make a community that’s easier to find other girl gamers to hang with. You get online and you immediately have hundreds of other guys to play with. We, however, can’t find other girl gamers so easily. I’ve met men that say, “Whoa, your a chick? I’ve been playing XBL for 4 years and you’re the first chick I’ve ever met!” It’s that hard to find each other. We also have to deal with punks that talk smack to us and call us “b****” and everything else. I had to deal with some jerk hole last night jfizz…who immediately called me a b**** and then went a bit further. I set him straight, muted him, and went on with my gaming experience. It’s bologna that we have to deal with people like that when all we want to do is kill, shoot, race…etc. XGX has allowed us to be able to find each other and now we can game with each other, if we want to have a nice experience without the hassle or crap! That’s all it’s about.

    Deacon,
Once again you come through with an outstanding show! I was so glad to hear from the women and specifically RamRod330 and CasketLady make me think about the fact that so many of us out there are parents who game. As parents many of us have the same type of concerns that the female gamers have. I cannot jump into multiplayer games without worry that my mic is plugged in because of the language of so many immature folks out there. I really hate it when someone comes in and ever other word is f*** this and f*** that. I am in the game to relax and have fun and this behavior really stresses me out. It’s especially bad when you can tell that the offender is a young person. When my daughter is old enough to play I can tell you that if I ever heard her talk the filth I have been subjected to I would revoke her priviledges to play online (and probably wash her mouth out with a bad of soap like my Grandmother used to do).
I also don’t think it’s appropriate for guys to bother girls with questions like
“are you hot?” or “how old are you?” or “would you date me?”. I never hear girls ask guys these questions so why is it that it never fails that guys are asking innappropriate questions of the girls in the community?
    Ok, ranting done with…
Meesa80 I am definitely interested in BurnoutElite.com. I will be checking that later today. Burnout is most excellent and it’s always cool to find more fans. The Game Attic Club all have the game and love to bust it up. Maybe I can catch you in a race sometime. Send me and invite if you see me online!
Lastly I found it interesting when I asked my wife (StephanatorTGAC) why she doesn’t game more and such and she said that the main reason she doesn’t game more is because housework gets in the way. I don’t always focus enough time on house chores myself though she tells me I am a good husband and do a good job. I think if I just made a bit of extra effort then she would have more time to play games online with her friends. I would love to see her take more interest in the 360 and community.

It’s just is too bad you can’t play splitt-screen Burnout online. She is a good competitor and I like to play too!

    Thanks again,
    GhostRiderTGAC

As for the feedback system, I would like to see certain types of bad reputation singled out in a gamertag, namely sexual/ sexuality harrassment, racism, as well as system- defined ‘cheaters’ (ie those who are caught by Xbox or the makers of the game… I’m thinking Halo 2 here… this would not be given by just anyone). If I get a FR, then I could look at the gamertag and see that say there are 4 instances of complaints of racism, for example, then decide whether I want them as a friend or not.
In order to keep it from being misused i would impose a ‘cooling off’ period between the complaint being made and it being recorded. I make a complaint, the person gets notified that a complaint was made, then a week later I get another message asking whether I stand by the complaint. If it was bad enough I will remember the person and stand by the complaint, if I was just mad at the time (or i was one of those morons giving bad feedback just for the sake of it) I have the ability to take it back. That way we as users can discourage certain types of behaviour on XBL… rather than policing it, we decide for ourselves the type of people we want to mix with.

I agree amba the feedback system doesn’t allow for much in the line of specifics regarding the perpetrator’s bad behavior. There are those who might not care if a person has been reported as vulgar or that they have sexually harassed someone but I would like to know. The number of offenses is also key in that a single offense might indicated a misunderstanding but multiple offenses are usually indicative of a trouble-maker. This would really help people decide with whom they play.
I think the “cooling off” period is a good idea to also validate the situation.
I would also go so far as to suggest that the true-match system take into account the desires of each gamer. If I don’t want to play with people who use foul language I should be able to have some kind of selection that filters based on other users feedback.

true match?? are you joking?!! what is true match making ???? so you go into a game of this so called true match and some how magically they dont talk trash or get pissed off ??? haha that is laughable everyone in the world including you have said bad words or cussed at someone dont lie thats so dumb there is no way that will happen you just got to take it man if its that bad then leave the game what you have to stay in the game and there is a thing as mute dont take things out of proportion there is a lot of things to do so you dont get matched with the same person

    Gifter –
I do talk trash but the difference is that I don’t do it in excess. I guess excess is relative but my point is certainly that I would like to be able to see if others have made comments about the bad behavior of users who are excessive. Does this make sense?

GhostRider: Society has for many years had the male as the person who “makes the approach” to women. Women have always been on the “why hasnt he come over here and asked me out” side of things. So society has trained males to be the “hunters”. Now I agree that there are appropriate times to ask these types of questions, but we men are taught this throughout our lives. Haven’t you ever heard of the saying “Nice guys finish last”, well it’s true, try being a sweet person all the time, always being the perfect gentlemen and you WILL BE A LONELY ONE. I know this from experience..

Congratulations Deacon on taking on a topic that many have either ignored or actively tried to squash in the past.

Like it or not guys, these ladies are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

I’ve been playing with the Dominating Diva’s for over 4 yrs and I can tell you from experience that besides being some of the most talented gamers out there (FeistyFox in particular will leave you staring blankly at the screen wondering what the hell just happened … lol), but they are also bring a few things to the game that has been lacking as of late. Things like comradery, and integrity, and real friendship. There is no better breath of fresh air than an evening of gaming with 6 or 8 people that are there to have fun. That’s what they are there for … the fun. If they win they win and if they lose they lose, but they ALWAYS make it a good time.

Once again … great interview. I was linked to this interview on my own gamers site by a man named Snoops. Snoops happens to be married to the leader of the Dominating Diva’s, Chickette. These folks are some of my closest friends, and now they’ve made me a fan of Deacon and the Unscripted 360 site.

    Correction

THIS particular link was posted on our site by Feisty Fox.

Snoops provided links to a couple of other interviews.

For those interested in more info about the ladies, they have been interviewed by Trixie on several occasions, and also by the Chicago Sun Times at http://www.suntimes.com/output/entertainment/cst-ftr-pacman15.html

    Sorry for the mixup
