Sony may have their hand in this being that the PS3 is on the horizon and what better way to market the system than with the Blue Ray. Can't wait till November!!!! And it wouldn't suprise me if Sony does have an HD-DVD player. A friend of mine has a Sony computer. Didn't know they made those. So having a blue ray player means that in order to take advantage of the HD that I have to have a HD TV? I have a HD TV in my living room but in my gaming room I have a standard TV. Deacon, great show here once agian. I liked your addressing of the GOW/MS Game Studios pricing fiasco. I'm not sure we will ever get a definitive answer or explaination on it. I think what you and I suspected though is likely the case. I'm not sure why Epic is all that different than for example Rare but like my wife says "it is what it is". I too had my own "5 calls" type expirence this weekend. When into Best Buy and the guy was talking a customer out of buying an inner-cooler system. He was saying that the device was more likely to wear out bearings in the 360 than actually cool it.
