Don’t ever sit back and relax is the theme so far with U360’s Showcases.  Guess who was invited to play this time?  Our first and quite possibly, our only Sweden Unscripted 360 Showcase.

Who’s the leader of the pack in Sweden?  Is there even a pack to lead?  Take a seat….look who’s got next.

First off, tell the world a little bit about the person behind the Gamertag?

I’m a 27 year old Swedish guy that is maybe just a bit too addicted to pc/console-gaming, anime and collecting anime-related figures. Just as my Gamertag motto says, “Anime. Games. Life”.  The answer is that simple. I’ve been playing games for at least 20 years now, and I dare say I’m even more into games now than ever before. It all began with the Commodore 64 and NES, so it’s been very fun to follow the evolution of the gaming industry.

For those who may not have guessed it by now, how did you come up with your Gamertag?

For those who guessed, yeah you are most probably right. It is Her. The one and only,
the incredibly loveable Rei Ayanami from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. May i also mention that it’s because of her that I began collecting figures. The 79 at the end was added because Ayanami was already in use. (I was born in 1979)

Has anyone bothered to mention to you that according to certain stats, you have the highest Gamerscore of all Sweden players?  Is Gamerscore something you make a point to play for?

Some have mentioned it. But to tell the truth, I would say that it’s nothing special. It’s a bit fun, I can confess, but it isn’t exactly something I would include in a job-application.  Gamerscore is only a number, gained from the interesting part of it all. Achievements. That’s what it’s all about.  So make a point to play for Gamerscore? No. But for Achievements, yes. It’s always nice with a good challenge, and I believe that’s the main purpose of many Achievements. Some are incredibly easy, but anyone with “Completed Single Dark Agent” in PDZ or “No Crash Victory: Single Races” deserves a lot of respect. Those two are beyond my abilities, but from time to time I still try.

Is Unscripted 360 fit for a King?  We’re about to find out as another UK Showcase is ready for the world.

Ladies and gentelmen, don’t call him Elvis…

Care to share with the world what the life is like for a GrandHolyKing?

Hmmm, tough one to answer that….I live in Northern Ireland with the lovely Mrs GrandHolyKing (She’s reading this) and our 2 children. I also work full time nightshift in retail which can be pretty interesting at times. It’s pretty good that I work nightshift though as I get to spend some more time during the day playing games and bugging my buddies on msn while they are at work..ha ha. I can’t complain too much as my wife actually approves of my “hobby” and actively encourages it. She’s under the impression that I don’t get enough “me time” and who am I to argue with that!

Hey no arguments there. What was the process in selecting your Gamertag?

I actually have a nickname that played a big part in creating it. At work, there are a lot of people with my first name so we all got nicknames instead. Mine was Hollywood due to a running joke that some of the guys kept telling the “new” guys. They actually managed to convince them that I was a child actor for pampers adverts and could have made it to Hollywood. Obviously Hollywood was taken so I scrolled through the suggested names when setting up my first live account back in 2003 and there it was, smiling back at me shouting “Ooh, Ooh…pick me!”…Not very interesting, but that’s the height of it. It took some getting used to at first but I wouldn’t dream of changing it now.

For those unfortunate enough to get the dreaded “Bandwidth Exceeded” message these past couple of hours, it is my pleasure to announce that things are back up and running!

I hadn’t planned ahead well enough and the popularity of Unscripted 360 got the best of the poor little servers. ;)

That’s a good thing as it shows just how incredible the response has been for U360 but at the same time I know many of you were disappointed to get the error and for that I apologize.

I got several emails and other messages about it and believe me…I was on top of it the entire way.  I was working like a mad man to get things situated…if only you knew lol

And the mad man mania paid off as Unscripted is back!  My pockets are a little lighter after having to shell out more $ but it was and is well worth it to keep giving you something you all seem to enjoy.

Welcome back.

Here is a high resolution art image from Saint’s Row.  Enjoy.  I know the hype surrounding this game is building.

I just wanted to post and let everyone know that I’m working to figure out why some of you, if not all, are not getting the shows to appear automatically in iTunes.

In the meantime, you can always access the shows directly on the site.  Just head to the category Unscripted 360 Podcasts to access the shows.  Sorry about the inconvenience and I’ll try to get it situated as soon as possible.

Thanks!

Again, as promised, U360 is delivering!  I recently sat down with NinjaBee’s own John Nielson, lead designer of Cloning Clyde.  Thanks to Wahoo Studios president, Steve Taylor, for making this possible!

Take a seat and enjoy a bit of ‘Cloning Clyde Inside’.

Cloning Clyde

For the few who don’t know, can you take a moment and tell us how Cloning Clyde came to be. What was the inspiration behind this title?

When we learned about the Xbox 360 Live Arcade before the Xbox 360 even came out, it sounded like an amazing opportunity. Plus, with Microsoft’s arcade team being so great to work with, even as Ninjabee’s contract for Outpost Kaloki X was being worked out, we didn’t hesitate in getting the design in Cloning Clyde going. With a much smaller and mostly separate team, we started working on a prototype of Cloning Clyde. In deciding to make a cartoon look, we looked at some of our most favorite cartoons over the years including Simpson’s, Flinstones, Ren and Stimpy, The Angy Beavers, etc. As far as game play The Lost Vikings, Oddworld’s games and Lemmings, were among our top inspirations.

Humor seems to be a recurring theme with NinjaBee and Wahoo Studios. Is that intentional because of what the audience would like or are you just really a group of fun guys and girls?

Well, the humor in this game was very intentional. Like I said, a different team than Outpost Kaloki X’s worked on Cloning Clyde, and I think you’ll see that the humor has a little different of a flavor. Ninjabee is FULL of super creative, fun, dedicated and funny people and I think that will show in all of the games that are developed here. I wouldn’t say we’re necessarily dedicated to making all of our games SUPER ‘Humorous’, but we ARE dedicated to making all of our games unique, creative, fresh and most of all fun.

As promised…it’s Special Edition Wednesday.  I wasn’t able to coordinate the rest of the guests so you’ll be treated to additional Special Editions coming up.

I’m learning that scheduling is indeed the biggest obstacle when having people on the show…but U360 is going to work it out.  I have a feeling though that this particular guest will garner quite a few reactions.

Format:
28:01, 19.2 MB, mp3

Show files:

Enjoy!

Borders are being covered at an extraordinary rate here on Unscripted 360!  With that said, let me welcome you all to the first China Unscripted 360 Showcase!

Let’s dig right in!

I can’t imagine we’ll be able to cover all the things I’d like to ask so let’s take care of what we can.

Is your Gamertag an ode to the Unreal Tournament series?

I based my Gamertag on the Unreal game engine, and the Havok physics engine, roughly the meaning of it is unbelievable chaos and devastation, which is what I like to cause on the virtual battlefield. I couldn’t think of anything else better that represented my playing style, and me as a character out there on Xbox Live.

Well that’s a good combination then.  Describe what a usual gaming session is like in Unreal’s world?

It is as hectic as hell, though not in an unorganized way mind you. I like to have the biggest, and craziest gun battles ever witnessed on the Xbox 360 by mankind. As long as everyone in the lobby at the end of the session is happy and says “yeah I enjoyed that” then I know I’ve done my bit for the community.
