Don’t miss out on one of the hosts at Gamerscoreblog, Bastelyon, as he goes toe to toe in an Xbox Staff Showcase.  There is also our first Showcase from Canada!  Head on in and get started…

Also of note…a Dead or Alive 4 demo is now available in the Marketplace for all regions to download.  Thanks Kenny for the head’s up.  Demo confirmed by Major Nelson.  Yes it’s a bit late but hey, I’m getting it as I haven’t tried the game.

Dead or Alive 4

Hello yet again.  U360 had a chance to track down Gamerscoreblog celebrity and Online Community Manager, Tony Hynes for a quick Unscripted 360 Xbox Team Showcase.

Your flight begins in 5, 4, 3, ……

For those who may not know, can you share a little bit about who you are and what you do as it pertains to the Xbox 360.

My name is Tony Hynes and I am the Online Community Manager for Xbox and Games for Windows.

How involved are you with maintaining the state of the online community?  Is it easy to manage with the good team of MVPs currently?

I’m involved on a daily basis with the online community.  I communicate with bloggers, fan site owners, forum posters and our Xbox MVPs constantly.  And when I’m not chatting with community via email, IM or phone, I’m playing with community members over Xbox Live.

You stay quite busy with things including the Gamerscore blog.  How did that come to be?

It’s all about connecting with the community.  Having an active and vocal community for your product is great but there can be things posted that aren’t 100% accurate.  Gamerscoreblog was created to provide us (the Xbox Marketing and PR team) with a way to send out accurate information and official responses to the community on everything Xbox.

Hot off the press is another Unscripted 360 Showcase!  What are you waiting for?  Jump in!

Be afraid…be very afraid…

Give the people reading right now a few details about the gamer behind the Gamertag.

Well, my real name is Kenny, and I reside in Los Angeles, CA. I have been gaming since my mom bought me a NES at a garage sale when I was 4.  Excite Bike, Super Mario Bros., and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were some of my first games. I also had a PS 1 and an original Xbox. Now, I like extreme sports and driving games the most. Some of my other hobbies besides gaming are skating, skiing, flying, and football. There’s not really anything else to say!

How often do you sit down for a gaming session?

Usually I’ll play a few times a day.   Sometimes I’ll sit down for a marathon session around once a week, but most of the time I’ll play when I’m waiting for something, or when I get tired of the Xbox.com forums.

How has the Xbox 360 experience been for you personally?

Amazing. It’s helped me connect with people and make new friends, and I find myself laughing a lot about what I heard someone say on Xbox Live, and the quality of my life just feels better. (Geez, I sound like a rep for one of those Sleep Number beds.)

See what showing some love to U360 gets ya…it puts you in our first Canada Unscripted 360 Showcase.

He’s young…a silent assassin…he’s up next!

First things first ofcourse.  Tell the readers who it is that games behind the Gamertag.

I’m a 15 year old Canadian teenager that loves to play video games in my spare time. I live in the province of Ontario and am proud to be Canadian! Gaming isn’t my life but I do enjoy playing with my friends on Xbox Live. I also love to play soccer in my spare time as well as many other sports. I like to be fit and healthy and then sit down and game. I have been playing ever since the Nintendo 64.

Canada is amazing! What’s the story behind your Gamertag?

Well before I had Xbox Live for the original Xbox, we had a computer. We didn’t have a computer desk yet so we setup our computer on our air hockey table. On the side of the air hockey table it said “minikit”. I didn’t really know of a good name so I went with that. I just added the 99 because this is one of my favorite numbers. Some people on Xbox Live misspell my name or mispronounce my name and some of the names they can think of are quite funny.

Happy Monday everyone!  Thanks for those of you who tuned in to Episode #4…both existing listeners and new ones alike.  Five Calls made its debut and so far everyone seems to love the idea of what that particular segment has in store on U360.

Stay tuned this week for another Special Edition to air.  If things go right, there will be a couple highlighting some interesting guests to say the least.  I have a female bit of flavor that will soon be added to the show that should be interesting as well.

I also have a special Q&A lined up with Gamefly that should help a few people determine whether or not online renting is for them.  Stay tuned sometime during the week or next for the delivery of that.

Hot topics:

If you search through the Xbox 360 community, you’ll find most of these things fresh on people’s minds.

Again, I want to thank those of you who continue to listen and those of you who are just now coming onboard U360.  I hope you all stay for the long ride!

Saint's Row

(F1Senna, I didn’t forget your idea…it’ll be featured on the next episode)
