Monday Morning Scripted
Another show…another Monday…another recap of the weekend’s events and what’s hot right now. This is Monday Morning Scripted. I want to send my thanks again for the amazing response to U360’s sixth show which featured an interview with Microsoft and Xbox’s own TriXie. She was an absolute joy to speak with and my thanks once again go out to her.
I wanted to check out Miami Vice this weekend but having a flat tire (an 18″ flat tire mind you that costs $100+ to replace) kind of spoiled my mood for movies. It knocked Capt. Jack Sparrow off the #1 list though with a little over $25 million at the box office for the Vice boys.
The Q&A w/ Gamefly is still on tap…working with PR is often a challenge so patience on that one. New Showcases will be heading your way this week as well as another Special Edition Wednesday with Five Calls and an M.M.F. minute planned. Be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to make YOURSELF famous!
And I did find out about the Podcast Awards that many of you emailed asking me about. It doesn’t appear to be anything ‘official’. It’s a fan based count that if you knew about it, you voted for your favorite podcast. There are a few recognizable shows nominated for various categories but after noticing glaring omissions like Major Nelson’s show, GamerAndy etc…I figure it’s nothing ‘official’ but something that if you inform your listeners about, you stand a good chance at being nominated.
So the next time they roll around, I’ll be sure to mention them to see if anyone will vote for U360 but for right now it doesn’t seem like an ‘official’ reflection of the best out there especially when Major Nelson or GamerAndy isn’t even nominated.
Hot topics:
- E3 200?. Is it the end of the media event as we know it?
- Sony to make ‘Entitlements’ for its fanbase much like Xbox 360’s ‘Achievement’?
- What was your last Achievement unlocked?
- Games you should play before you die?
- New Gamercard Icons?

From what I read, they are downsizing the E3 next year to
cut back on expenses. E3 will still continue but there will be changes.
August 1st, 2006 at 8:12 am
yep big changes but it’s cool..i think it’ll only help get the focus back to the games and not so much the showcase.

That should be fine anyway. E3 was supposed to be for people working in the industry, not common gamers. EA and Bungie and 2K for example shouldn’t need to pay for elaborate booths to impress clients they already work with. I like what they’ve done.

but come on dont you feel some regret dude i mean its e3 its the time where you learn about games you havnt heard about that much and they show a demo and its hands on and stuff dude come on e3 is special i dont know hopefully they dont destroy it but hopefully they make something better i suppose long live e3

No not really about the regret. We are living in an ever faster information age. Waiting for big events like E3 is not as important as it once was. Most of time the info has been leaked already.

The giant enemy crab was never leaked.

Well…you know…some things still need to remain TOP secret.
