Showcase – kmillard92
Hot off the press is another Unscripted 360 Showcase! What are you waiting for? Jump in!
Be afraid…be very afraid…
Give the people reading right now a few details about the gamer behind the Gamertag.
Well, my real name is Kenny, and I reside in Los Angeles, CA. I have been gaming since my mom bought me a NES at a garage sale when I was 4. Excite Bike, Super Mario Bros., and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were some of my first games. I also had a PS 1 and an original Xbox. Now, I like extreme sports and driving games the most. Some of my other hobbies besides gaming are skating, skiing, flying, and football. There’s not really anything else to say!
How often do you sit down for a gaming session?
Usually I’ll play a few times a day. Sometimes I’ll sit down for a marathon session around once a week, but most of the time I’ll play when I’m waiting for something, or when I get tired of the Xbox.com forums.
How has the Xbox 360 experience been for you personally?
Amazing. It’s helped me connect with people and make new friends, and I find myself laughing a lot about what I heard someone say on Xbox Live, and the quality of my life just feels better. (Geez, I sound like a rep for one of those Sleep Number beds.)
Yes you do. Which title is getting the most play time in your library?
Right now, I am playing Top Spin 2 the most. I am trying to finish my career so I can get the 450 GS points and achievements. There have been a lot of people ripping on that game, but I actually like it. After that, I am playing a lot of Rockstar Table Tennis. That game rocks.
I make it a point to ask this. What’s that one game you wish you could erase from your games played history?
There really aren’t any games I am ashamed of, since I am pretty rigorous on which games I buy, but I would like to get rid of all those Arcade trial games I downloaded. They pretty much clog up my games played. The only game that I have downloaded the trial for and then bought the game for is Geometry Wars. That was one awesome game (although I am ashamed of not even being able to get the Pacifism achievement).
I told people Pacifism is tough. What are the titles on your ‘must-have’ list?
Probably what everyone else would say. Halo 3, Gears of War, Dead Rising, Mass Effect, Test Drive Unlimited (for me, at least), and Forza 2. For the Arcade, I want Paper Boy, Street Fighter II, and Galaga.
If you had a chance to be part of a game as a character, which game and what character would you be?
Ooh. Actually, I’ll go old school. It would be cool to be Mario in Super Mario Brothers on NES. Jumping around and killing stuff would be cool. It’s a simple little game that brought tons of fun to millions.
Mario huh. Cool. There’s one feature on the Xbox 360 that you just can’t go without. Which is it?
Definitely Xbox Live. The community we have is awesome. The Xbox Ambassador program is great; it shows that there are nice people in the world that are willing to help others. Playing with others over the internet was something that probably no one could think of 10 years ago, but today it is reality. Also, one of my other most used features of the 360 is streaming music from my PC. When the in-game audio gets boring, it’s just like popping in your favorite CD and playing it while gaming.
A lot has been said about first party titles being cheaper than third party or simply titles being $60 this generation. How do you feel about game prices?
Well, it would be nice if everything was free, but the $40-$50 price point is my sweet spot. I haven’t shelled out $60 on a 360 game yet, but that’s because I either buy them used or they just aren’t games I want.
Game prices mixed with content downloads could make for an end product over $100. Do you see a problem with content downloads and their prices?
Yes, I do feel sorry for those guys who paid $75 overall for the GRAW and the Chapter 2 DLC. (Since I knew that’s what you were getting at.) $15 is too much for me, but I would be ok with $5-$10. I would only pay $15 if I knew that the quality of the content was very good.
How much have you spent in Marketplace points and how do you usually buy your points?
So far, I have spent around 600 points on Geometry Wars, a picture pack, and the Halo 3 theme. I buy my points in the form of a prepaid card, since I don’t really trust Microsoft with a credit card.
U360 has recently had Showcases with those on the Xbox 360 Launch Team and Staff. Is it important to you that the people behind the 360 seem so committed to being ‘hands on’ with their fans?
Totally. I love what Major Nelson, triXie, Elle, and what everyone else is doing. It helps to know that someone is out there looking after you, and that they know what you want in a console and what needs to be tweaked, or what features us gamers would like to see.
One game. One shot. You against Sam Fisher. Who wins and what game are you playing?
Halo 2, Team Snipers, we both see each other at the same time, but somehow I got my shot off first and won.
Naturally. What do you want to say in closing to everyone reading your Showcase?
Send me a Friend Request! Oh yea and thanks for reading this.
You heard him! Thanks for playing Kenny…and no one killed you.

Showcases aren’t done for ‘reasons’….if you own an Xbox 360 and are a part of the 360 community then that is your reason
