Showcase – MoshPitVet
The U360 Showcases are becoming more and more popular. And I intend to keep churning them out! I appreciate the willingness from so many of you to want to have one and to even suggest your fellow gamers for one.
Get ready for Unscripted’s latest Showcase!
How long have you been gaming on your Xbox 360?
Since November of 2005, I went to Sams club to obtain my 360 at launch. They had 20 bundles available and I was number 18 in line.
What are you gaming on? Tell us about your setup.
Currently I am playing my 360 on a standard definition television, 32″ JVC i’Art TV and a 7.1 Onkyo surround sound system. I am waiting for Toshiba to launch their SED line of televisions before I make the plunge into HD TV.
What is your most played title and why?
I really enjoy playing Burnout Revenge. I like the combination of racing and crashing, on one hand your trying to avoid cars and on the other your crashing into them.
Everyone has a game they wish they hadn’t played. What’s yours?
It’s an arcade game called Buck Rogers: Planet of Zoom, I don’t even want to explain this waste of a game. LOL
You seem to be a good member in the community but yet you have an Underground Gamerzone? Do you make the zone or does the zone make you?
When I post in the community I am Dr. Jekyyl, but when I’m gaming I turn into Mr Hyde, swearing and making crude jokes. I’m not mean when gaming just get a potty mouth. LOL
I would have to say that I make the zone because people that know me in real life know that I listen to Death Metal and live life to the fullest.
It’s been widespread around the Xbox.com community boards that you offer tips on some good deals. Why not just keep those deals to yourself?
I feel that the more people that get deals on games, the more people there are to play against and it doesn’t really hurt me in any way to share the deals, so I do. It also makes it worth while when you get people saying thank you, you saved me money, it’s just gratifying knowing I helped someone that might not have bought the item otherwise.
Are you a fan of the new features on Xbox 360? Gamerscore and Achievements?
The Xbox team is really starting to make this the hub of your entertainment in your house. With the ability to stream music, movies and pictures from your PC to your TV is really neat. I like the music feature the most because I have kids and they love music. You can pick which songs you want to play and customize it any way you want.
I love the concept of them, but people have found ways around earning their gamerscore and achievements, which takes away from them. If they can repair this so someone can’t download the other peoples achievements onto their profile, it will be valid again.
What has been the best feature you’ve most enjoyed about Xbox 360 and the next generation?
I really like the direction the Arcade is going now that we are getting actual dates that the games will be released on. I’m really looking forward to some of the original Arcade games that are about to come out like Cloning Clyde and Small Arms.
Have you had any ‘Next-Gen’ moments where the experience blew you away?
Condemned: Criminal Origins. When you first start walking around and you hear the garbage being stepped on by you and when that first addict appears, it made me jump. When you start playing this game you don’t realize how much surround sound adds to this game. Having 7.1 surround sound really makes this games atmosphere so much more real to me.
If you could add something to the Xbox 360 to make it better for you and gamers alike, what would it be?
The ability to send 1 level of any game that you have to a friend so they could see how the game is before buying it. I know they release demos in the marketplace but alot of the times it’s after the game is out or the quality of the demo is poor leading to bad reviews. With the ability to send one level of the retail agme people will know exactly what they are getting.
Is there a title coming that you think will make people say, “I have to get an Xbox 360”?
I believe Gears of War might be that game. It looks amazing and is going to require teamwork and not just running and gunning.
One shot. One game. You against Peter Moore. Who wins and what game are you playing?
Peter would win hands down simply because he can afford all the content downloads with the newest, bestest weapons. LOL. Chrome Hounds.
Any parting words?
I would just like to say Thank You to the Xbox team for bringing so much fun to our homes and that we’re all looking forward to the things that are coming down the line.
Thanks Mosh…now find me a copy of Call of Duty 2 for $30!

Yeah, there’s a good chance this guy will be nominated an Official Xbox Hero at some point. I usually like his posts, I do have a few minor fanboy concerns that need to be addressed first but I say he’s got a shot. Onkyo, JVC, Toshiba? THIS GUY IS SPEAKING MY LANGUAGE! Thats all the stuff I use too. He’s always the man that finds the deals out there in cyberspace.

I will do my best Deacon.
I\’m gonna leave a deal on here that I\’m not posting on the regular forums. Toys R Us is selling their old 12 month Live subscriptions for $19.99 at their brick and mortar stores. They aren\’t the new ones with the 360 game discount but they work for the 360 so thats a good price.
July 19th, 2006 at 10:29 am
that’s something i might have to look into Mosh.
July 19th, 2006 at 10:57 am
Yeah, the info on the cheap 1 year cards he’s had lately have been great.

Anytime, and thanks Wuz Ranger. Im glad that you find the deals that are posted useful. Now I need to find Deacon COD@ for $30.00. I know if you sign up with google payment you get $10.00 at certain online retailers, now I need to research their prices and see if it cant be found for $40 – the $10.00 from google payment and thats $30.00. LOL

Ok, I have to come on here and vent. It seems that a mod (TR1GG3R MAN) Has deemed my deals threads advertising which blows in my opinion. I’m not paid by a company to tell people about their products, all I’m doing is trying to give everyone the cheapest deals on games and things related to the 360 that I can find.
If I leave out the links to the websites and just name the sites instead, will that still constatute advertising?
Mosh~~
July 24th, 2006 at 2:29 pm
yes it would
i recently learned that although Fry’s sells games, it’s not considered a game store and as such the deals they have aren’t ’supported’ for lack of a better word. i found this out when trying to price match at Best Buy. they’re another class now. just food for though that has nothing to do with why it was advertising lol
July 24th, 2006 at 2:50 pm
Hmmmm, Best Buy no longer price matches Frys? They must have been taking a beating with price matching I guess? I will keep posting the deals until they tell me to stop, I can’t leave my forum friends to pay full price for their games. Maybe you’ll have to open a spot on here for me to post deals. LOL, J/K
Mosh~~
July 24th, 2006 at 3:05 pm
nope they don’t price match Frys anymore. i was ticked off too because Best Buy is closer to me. i’ll start mentioning the deals on the show if you want to email them to me the Friday prior.
July 24th, 2006 at 3:09 pm
Sure thing, I will do that.
