Frogger on the Marketplace…Full Screen option
True to their word about Arcade Wednesdays, Microsoft released Frogger onto the Xbox Live Arcade earlier this morning. Before heading out to do my duties, I downloaded it and tried it only to be hit with a small, small Frogger display. The game on my widescreen TV had those dreaded black bars around it and you could barely make out the game. That’s the beauty of having free trials on all Arcade games before you purchase.
High definition title? I think not. Surprisingly though I checked through the Frogger forums listed on xbox.com and a fix had been posted. I’ll be giving this title another shot later today.
To change the screen size, you have to press pause while IN-GAME and then adjust the screen size or graphics. Simple. Just be sure you’re actually IN-GAME in order to adjust the options for the screen size.

Hey Deacon, what’s the size of your HDTV..? I have a 43″ widescreen and I was wondering if it would be easier to play/see at that size. Also, I think I read somewhere that all of the coming XBLA classic tiltes (pac-man, galaga, etc) will be in the old-style 4:3 ratio so that it matches the old arcade cabinets of the past.

i have a 52″ widescreen. i’m not sure how much larger the screen will get once you change the options in Frogger but anything larger than what it is normally would help. i also heard (rumor) that you can also change the way the graphics are displayed be it old school style or new school.
i’ll confirm all of this later today.
and yeah i heard the classics will all be old style as well.

I just checked you can swich the graphics its in the pause menu options once your in game

Yeah its the old graphics all blocky one colour sprites

Is there some problem with the acheivments in this game? I should have 2 acheivements by now but they’re not unlocking. Anyone hear about a glitch?

i haven’t heard about a glitch. are they showing on your 360 as being unlockd at all?

ok…it is MUCH more tolerable with the screen adjustments. i like it..still not going to buy the full version though.
