One thing I hope doesn't get too out of hand is a game with far too many multiplayer achievements. I game on Xbox Live but it's not as much as some people. So I hope that they don't begin to produce more online achievements than offline...because offline is where I game the most. Acheivements that are next to impossible (like leaderboard Acheivments) just motivate people to cheat and boost. Ones that are too easy can also make gamerscore more of a joke. For example, if I'm playing a sports game gamerscore would be more important but if i'm playing a role playing game then achievement would be more important because I'm trying to finish the game. To me, I think gamerscores are used more as a bragging right for that person to say they're the best. I find myself doing alot more things in games than I would have before attempting to get the extra achievements. I think regardless of what people think about them seeing somebodies gamerscore lets you know who you're dealing with. While there is a HUGE disparity in the difficulty of the achievements a higher score still indicates that somebody has put more time in and is better qualified to comment on certain issues. I understand that to some gamerscore is meaningless and to those people I say to each their own. Gamerscore only means what you want it to. There is no prize to be won or lost.
